WELLESLEY HIGH SCHOOL
Class of 1964
Wellesley High School
We were the class that witnessed the JFK assassination during the fall of our senior year. The Sunshine Dairy was alive and well and gave us sustenance, a place to hang out and Mrs. Wright's willing ear. Many graduated straight into Viet Nam -- or did everything possible to avoid it. We danced the Watusi and the Frug despite Mrs. Ferguson's attempts to civilize us. And we ate pizza at Roma's, snacks at Ma's Lunch, ice cream sundaes at Bailey's, drank Lime Rickey's at Brighams and Fribbles at Friendlies. We buried John Capron, Buster Weisenbach and Carl Ceisluk. Everyone has a story about Town Line Liquors and Dan Ward's Drugstore. The Beatles made headlines on the Ed Sullivan Show and Mr. Graves' voice began our days. This Wellesley High Class of 1964 web site is dedicated to nostalgia -- our own personal adolescent nostalgia. I have been updating this website for years now. Classmates.com, Pipl.com and Google have helped me keep track of you all, but we are a very mobile class and I still misplace a few of you. And some of you truly don't want to be found. Anyone who has a connection to our class, whether by freinds in the class or growing up with us before going off to boarding schools, is welcome to become part of our mailing list -- just let me know. If there is anything I can add or enhance on this website, please let me know about that, too. We typically plan reunions every five years and that information will also be posted here.

This landmark event is being planned to give you time to make plans to attend -- unless you can spin on a dime like Ted Allison did last time, coming in from Seattle at the 11th hour.

Thanks to Bill Carlson's connections, we are going back to Mount Ida College to the Carlson Great Room which wasn't even built when we were there before.

A postcard mailing went out in June 2008, as well as a notification through Classmates.com and our current email list. If you didn't receive it, I may not have your correct mailing or email address. As classmates begin to look towards retirement I am scrambling to keep up with everyone's address changes.

So dust off your dancing shoes (white bucks? saddle shoes?), try to remember everything Fergie, Elvis and the Beatles taught us... and mark your calendars. I will locate a block of rooms at a local hotel as the time draws nearer.
