WELLESLEY HIGH CLASS OF 1964 REUNIONS
45th Reunion in 2009 (Sheraton Needham)
On Friday, October 2, 2009 classmates gathered in the Trophies Bar and Grill at the Sheraton Needham Hotel. The event was informal and spontaneous.
On Saturday, October 3, 2009 classmates gathered at the Sheraton Needham for cocktails (including a signature cocktail called "The Norumbega"); the class picture taken by Jody Gagnon of Price Perfect Photos. She brought her printing equipment with her and after dinner everyone had the pictures they wanted to take home with them. Approximately 70 classmates, honorary classmates and spouses attended the dinner. A 101-page Yearbook Supplement was available which included information on the new $44 million high school that will replace the 1938 building we knew. Demolition of the old high school - OUR high school - is slated for February 2012. The Sheraton Needham staff, especially Richard Pimentel, were wonderful to work with as this reunion was pulled together at the eleventh hour. The original plan to have the reunion at Mount Ida College had to be scraped due to low response.

"We Ain't Dead Yet" 60th Birthday Party - 2006
The Columbus Day Weekend celebration began with the first revelers arriving Thursday night. We had an eclectic group over the course of the weekend that really clicked. We had a blast! Peggy Hodgson came with her mountain bike and more energy than the average 60 year old. Ellen Snyder climbed to the top of the mountain three times while she was here...once alone at dawn. Sally Pope brought wonderful artisan breads from NYC to accompany the venison stew and fish chowder we had for lunch. Dan Blackstone and his delightful wife came from Sonoma CA with a case of Ledson wines and walnuts from their ranch. David Meissner brought his girlfriend whom we all enjoyed immensely. Lucia Olsson came for Sunday, still deeply involved with Eastern Star regionals. Steve Sargent and his wife came from NY where he is a PhD professor. We haven't seen him since our 10th reunion. They are into traditional English dancing -- in costume no less. Barbara Eddy was snapping pictures of everything. Gail Harvey and her husband Bill were here all weekend and we had a lot of conversations that "mattered" (got below the surface) and introduced us to three unique Scotchs from their collection. Elliot Childs arrived Monday and missed much of the party, but got his share of cake. For Saturday's banquet we decorated the barn with twinkle lights, a mirrored disco ball and a long banquet table set with the finest china and crystal. We dined on grilled steak tips, teriyaki chicken breasts and lobster newburg. Dan Blackstone whipped up a potato and onion grill. The birthday cake was accompanied by ice cream truck favorites (drums sticks, hoodsie cups, fudgsicles, chocolate covereds, etc.) - a suggestion from Sally Pope. And after the feast, we danced!

Wellesley High School Class of 1964 met Columbus Day weekend for our 40 Year Reunion. 354 classmates graduated together in the "new gym" all those years ago. Today 85% of classmates known to be alive can be contacted by mail or email, and 30% of that number showed up. Comparative stats to other high school classes indicate that WHS Class of 64 is indeed a special class with special bonds. For classmates who live away from New England and crave the intensity of fall foliage in our area, the Columbus Day weekend reunion could not have been better timed. The riot of color, unseasonably warm temps and clear blue skies enveloped the weekend - and the Red Sox even won their pivotal game! Friday afternoon 24 reunioneers met Kathy Gates Loring at the High School. Rick Smith of the WHS Custodial staff was our tour guide and was extremely knowledgeable, deeply invested and proud of the facility and had all the answers to any question we could come up with. School population (currently 943 students in 9th thru 12th grades) is increasing and there is a $20 million 4-story addition planned where the current library now sits. The soon-to-be torn down library was built in 1980. They also have computer labs, a well equipped language lab, an in-house pre-school, and an exceptional performing arts program that uses the auditorium as a classroom all day long with the former science lecture hall (which was brand new when we were seniors) converted to a small theatre. Needless to say, drama and musical performances presented by the school just keep getting better. The mustard tiles on the walls were oh-so-familiar but the halls were brighter, partially due to the carpeted corridors. We remembered the old joke about directing naive under-classmen to find the elevator - well, now they really have one. The cafeteria had just been completed as we graduated and now has a bank of soft drink machines and even offers smoothies. All the trophies and award plaques that bore our names and year have been retired due to space constraints, but a felt banner in the old gym, used for gymnastics and wrestling, retains the names of Ken Hurley and Jim Varnado. The "new" gym, where we graduated, seemed exceptionally small and it was hard to remember the senior prom being held there. Just beyond the "new gym" was a fitness facility that took our breath away. After the high school tour, classmates made their way to Leo and Anne Boyle's home in Dover where the Boyles had extended the cozy living space of their antique cape into a huge tent complete with tables draped in the red and black school colors. 67 partygoers showed up and were greeted by young Connor Boyle who shook hands with everyone stating "Welcome To Our Reunion". Connor was especially awed by the presence of Gerry Peek's wife, Christine Brandt, who is the principal of his school. Yearbook Supplements were handed out in order to give people a chance to read the 111-page volume before the Saturday gala. Folks were easily identifiable using nametags embellished with their high school pictures (except Dede Landon who promptly cut her picture off the nametag). Between conversations various groups of guests hovered near the TV to catch the Red Sox game and then the Bush/Kerry debate. Bill Stewart's wife was wearing a divine outfit complete with a live miniature poodle poking its head out of her shoulder bag. Jim McCabe and Dana Hanson arrived in their Santa Fe garb and both Candy Gard Roberts and Peter Beuttel promised that they would join that fashion trend next time. Representative delegations from the classes of 1962, 1963 and 1965 were among the crowd. A lot of people stayed at the Doubletree Guest Suites Hotel in Waltham where we had a block of rooms. Saturday classmates took advantage of the good weather to tour the area, drive by their old homes and haunts, visit old friends and pay respects at local cemeteries. The Wellesley High/Dedham Football game kicked off at 2 PM at Dedham. Fans cheered as Wellesley trounced Dedham 28 to 3 and were well entertained by the athletic skills of Wellesley's Andrew Elfman, Nick Linkow and Nick Rovito. Meanwhile, by the Town Hall Duck Pond, a small handful of classmates relaxed and visited, reviewed the yearbook supplement and snapped photos of one another over coffee from Starbucks and Peet's. The main event began at 7 PM at the Doubletree Guest Suites Hotel on Winter Street in Waltham. DJ Dick Snow '64 was at the controls of his vintage music machine. Photographer Nancy Carbonaro gathered everyone for a group picture just before dinner and folks bought raffle tickets for 32 donated items. The proceeds will go towards getting the 2009 reunion off the ground. Grateful classmates joined Class President Leo Boyle as he presented Class Historian Sue Chapman Melanson with a floral bouquet and a gift certificate to her favorite spa in Portland, Maine. The Rev. Tim Steeves '63 read a blessing written by classmate Rev. Frank Edmunds who was unable to attend. The class paused to remember classmates Wendy Callahan, Rick Emigh, Nancy FitzGerald Vaughan, Bob Flynn, and Beverly Jacobs Barthold who have passed away since the 1999 reunion. Dinner was buffet style and offered choices that suited every palate. Dancing began in earnest. Moe MacDonald Duffey and Jean Salatich officially declared Chuck Wiggins' wife Renate to be one of The Party Girls. But who knew that Chan Grinnell could move like that! Super Sleuth Awards for finding lost classmates were presented to Bob Bouvier and Halyna Barannik and a School Spirit Award complete with a fluffy red hat was presented to Barbara Eddy Emerson for all the photographic record keeping she does. Vassiliki Dimitrakopoulou came the farthest from Athens, Greece. Dick Snow came the shortest distance from his home, which Map Quest indicated was 3.4 miles away. After the security guard closed down the Drake Ballroom, small groups of classmates could be seen sitting in quiet corners of the hotel atrium talking well into the night. Sunday morning many classmates took advantage of the Doubletree Sunday Buffet Brunch and continued their visiting, sharing and networking conversations. Elliot "Lee" Childs' Dixieland band was playing at the Top of The Hub in Boston Sunday afternoon and a handful of folks remaining went in to hear him. Over the course of the three day event the following people put in appearances: Vinny and Susan Adorno, Ted Allison, Dick and Eileen Amesbury, Halyna Barannik, Randy and Sue Barker Ritter, Paul Battaglia and Fran Hall, Peter Beuttel, Phil Boonisar, Bob and Leslie Bouvier, Leo and Anne Boyle (as well as son Connor), Patty Boyle '62 and her husband, Tim Brainerd and Deb Samuels, Elaine Brown (at the Top of the Hub), Lee and Teri Brown, Sue Burr Carlo, Judy Canfield Stone and her daughter, Cyndi d'Onofrio, Bill and Hella Carlson, Art Melanson '63 and Sue Chapman Melanson, Sharon Chandler, Elliot and JoAnne Childs, John Ciesluk, Carol and Bob Coates '63, Bill Daly, Vassiliki Dimitrakopoulou, Alden Dort, Ned and Patty McHugh Doyle, Lisa Durrell, Barbara Eddy Emerson, Suzanne Egan, Jim and Barbara Fletcher, John Freeman, Mary Fulham Killion, Candy Gard Roberts, Kathy Gates Loring, Ted "Gize" Giese, Charlotte Govatsos Trubiani '65 and Vinny Trubiani, Brad Gray, Bob Greene, Chan and Debbie Grinnell, Dana Hanson, John and Bonnie Kelley Belmonte, Dede Landon Bazirgan and Dick Bazirgan '63, Anita Levy Graziano, Phoebe Lowell, Laura Lubin, Jan Lyeth Sharp, Lynda and Dick "Bull" Maxwell, Jim McCabe, "Moe" McDonald Duffey, Dave Meissner, John and Nancy Cahill Mercer, Bruce and Carter Meyer (as well as daughter Kit), Martha "Muzi" Michaels, Ginny Murray, Dick and Carol Nason, Nancy Nichols deCarvalho and Bolek Peplowski, Eli Noam, Lucia Olsson Savage and Neil Savage '59, Ginni and Bob O'Malley, Nancy Onthank Johnson, Gerry Peek and Christine Brandt, Sally Pope Brown, Walter and Charlene Powers, John and Barbara Railsback, Helen Richardson Nezda, Jean Salatich, Judy Shaw Kaletski, Larry and Janie Sloane Pellish, Dick Snow, Peter and Geri Spears, Rick Spelman, Tim Steeves '63, Bill; and Katy Stewart, Barbara Sullivan Wyser, Priscilla Tailby Doolittle, Jeff and Joan Talmadge,Bob Thurrell, Freddy Walker '65, Lois "Kaye" Werner, Chuck and Renate Wiggin. The 35th Reunion of the Wellesley High School Class of 1964 was held June 25-26, 1999. It was the sixth official gathering of the class since the all night party held on the tennis courts June 3, 1964. Over the course of the two-day celebration 41 classmates put in an appearance (some more fleeting than others) with friends, spouses and members of other classes for a total of 61 celebrants. 19 classmates have passed away and 51 are "Lost" -- so the statistic reads: 14% of the located class members showed up. By comparison there were 56 classmates at the 30th Reunion held at Mount Ida College in 1994; 86 classmates at the 25th Reunion, also held at Mount Ida in 1989; and 102 at the 20th Reunion held at the Newton Marriott in 1984. No one has kept records (that we know of) of the 10th Reunion held at Wellesley College Alumnae Hall in 1974 or the pre-5th held in Cambridge at Billy Carlson's apartment and spilling over into the K-K-K-Katy Club in Kenmore Square. The Class of 1964 was comprised of 354 blue gowned graduates. The Class of 1999 -- the last class of the century - was comprised of 177 red gowned graduates. EXACTLY half the number graduating in 1964! The final day of school has ALWAYS been cause to blare car horns and circle the school -- we did it!! By 1999 the day has actually been designated as a Town of Wellesley holiday called "Beep Day". The convoy of cars, flanked by Wellesley police cruisers, wound its way through town to the Sprague Fields for a hamburger/hotdog cook out. On graduation day 1999 students collected their diplomas wearing wing-tips, flip-flops and some went barefoot. In 1964 in Larsson Gymn we were much more formal! In 1999, after diplomas had been awarded, graduates blew bubbles and puffed cigar smoke rings to the sky -- we would never have DARED! Small world coincidences follow our class -- and especially me -- everywhere! Donna Craig, airline stewardess, spotted Marty Zeller among her passengers one flight. Current students at Middlebury College in Vermont include three daughters of classmates: John and Nancy (Cahill) Mercer's daughter, Lyndley; Dede (Landon) Bazirgan's daughter, Meredith; and Revan (Fisher) Miles' daughter, Katherine Miles. Also Stew Armstrong's daughter and Jim McCabe's daughter graduated from Tisch recently. Lucia Ollson Savage's daughter and my daughter are going to Colby-Sawyer College together this fall. Not only that but my hairdresser in North Conway also does Jane (Pfeffer) Jerry's mom's hair as well as David Darlington's daughter's hair! Who Showed Up (Jordan's, Picnic and/or DoubleTree): Alex Achmat - Albuquerque, New Mexico,
Vin Adorno & Susan - Hopkinton, MA, Peter Alderman & Pam (McGrath) - Holliston, MA, Stew Armstrong & Beth - Concord, NH, Halyna Barannik - Mansfield, MA, Bob Bouvier & Leslie - Herndon, VA, Leo Boyle & Anne - Dover, MA, Tim Brainerd & Deb Samuels - Wellesley & Natick, Elaine Brown Worsfold & Peter Natick, Archie Campbell - Greenfield, NH, Dan Cashman - Newtonville, MA, Don Chaffee - South Boston, Sharon Chandler - Bellingham, Washington, Sue Chapman Melanson & Art Melanson (WHS 63)- Hiram, Maine, Elliot "Lee" Childs - Dennis, MA, Lisa Durrell - Reading, MA, Barbara Eddy Emerson - Rockland, Maine, Vicky Edmunds Miracky - Stafford, VA, Bob Flynn - Palm Beach, Florida, John Freeman - Charlottesville, VA, Kathy Gates Loring & Bob Loring (WHS 63), Ted "Gize" Giese - West Newton, Nancy Heinbaugh Pettinelli & George - Billerica, MA, Bonnie Kelley Belmonte & John - Malden, MA, Paul Machlin - Waterville, Maine, Maureen McDonald Duffy - Dedham, MA, Martha "Muzi" Michaels - Cos Cob, CT, Ginny Murray Wellesley, Eli Noam - New York City, Lucia Olsson Savage & daughter, Lu Savage(18) - Exeter, NH, Bob O'Malley - Delmar, NY, Nancy Onthank-Johnson & Peter (WHS 66) - Chatham, NJ, Beth Peters Capizzo - Barrington, RI, Stephanie Peters Repella, John Railsback & Barbara - Northboro, MA, Susan Rossman Culbert - Hebron, NH, Jean Salatich - Glenview, IL, Judy Shaw Kaletski - East Greenwich, RI, Dick Snow & Marie - Waltham, MA, Sara Young - Jamaica Plain, MA, Marty Zeller - Denver, CO, Leo Zilg Wellesley, Jo Curry Dougherty (WHS 65) - Murrysville, PA, Ron Labadini Wellesley, Marge Norton Wellesley, Freddy Walker (WHS 65)- Wellesley. Friday classmates walked into Jordan's Furniture store in Natick as if walking onto Bourbon Street, were handed strings of glistening beads and joined Mardi Gras, complete with live Dixieland music provided by our own Elliot "Lee" Childs and his Bourbon Street paraders, a 9-minute Mardi Gras F/X experience, interactive robotics, "Streetcar Named Desert", Kelly's Roast Beef, a 40-foot jester, and beautiful 3-story facades. This store takes furniture shopping to new heights! We set up a reunion drop-in site in a conference room generously provided by the store where we met to mix and mingle and try to get acclimated to what the aging process has done to us all. There was a Saturday Afternoon Picnic - A small group gathered under an ancient spreading oak tree at Hunnewell Field Saturday afternoon, June 26, 1999. The highlight of the event was Sharon Chandler's creative instruction in singing another class song to be added to our repertoire. The Main Event was held at the DoubleTree Hotel in Waltham on Saturday evening. Classmates were greeted by Lisa Durrell and Bob O'Malley and presented with Yearbook Supplements, labeled with nametags bearing their 1964 Yearbook photos (calligraphied by Bob), and encouraged to take a chance on 4 raffle items donated by members of the class. DJ Dick Snow (one of our own) provided music and commentary. I won't repeat the buffet menu for fear that I will salivate on my PC keyboard, but I should comment that it did not disappoint anyone. The extensive collection of class memorabilia, archived in special vaults at the homes of Barbara Eddy Emerson and myself, were on display. Leo Boyle, President-For-Life, delivered the Executive Address and I followed with statistics gathered as Class Historian. Sharon Chandler led us in our new class song (not to replace the old one, mind you)... ...and posed the nagging question to all of us: "Who WAS in that car accident with Gize and Sharon before they got their licenses?" Jerry Horbert then took a group class photo. Raffle winners were John Railsback ("Sunbear" lithograph donated by Jim McCabe); Jean Salatich ("Presque Isle sunset" taken by Jim McCabe); Jo Curry Dougherty ("Tall Ships" taken by Jim McCabe) and Muzi Michaels (Maple Syrup from Oak Hill Farm). Dancing continued long after the official "last dance". Dick Snow says he just couldn't help himself! Official 35th Reunion Group Photo: Jerry Horbert, our official photographer, again took our group photo. Everyone is in it -- classmates, spouses, friends -- even some passers-by. (A couple of classmates may have missed the big photo flash because they were in the bathroom brushing and flossing...but we tried to get everyone.)

The weekend of June 23-24, 1989 the Wellesley High School Class of 1964 came home! After 25 years...after Viet Nam, after career successes (and switches), marriages (and switches), having faced personal joys and sorrows, losses and victories...after all that, they came home! The Reunion Committee worked for 13 months getting every detail accomplished asking the Classes of 1960, 1963 and 1969 for advice. Friday evening was an informal gathering at the Wellesley Inn beginning the weekend by bringing together classmates who had already arrived in town. Saturday afternoon families gathered at Hunnewell Field behind the Star Market to enjoy picnic lunches, tennis and each other. The Main Event was held Saturday evening at Mount Ida College in Newton. The turn-of-the-century estate building afforded broad patios and comfortable paneled living rooms for visiting as well as the modern dining room. There were displays of memorabilia, the Class of 64 Archives Scrapbook, artwork by Sue Burr Carlo of NYC, Dave Campion of Andover, Nancy Heinbaugh Pettinelli of Billerica, quilts by Lee Schirmer Carpenter of Brattleboro, VT, photo layouts of model Nancy Onthank Johnson of Chatham, NJ, published works by Paul Machlin of Waterville, ME, Don Chaffee of Wellesley and Mrs. Lillian Bernstein in memory of her daughter, Andrea Bernstein Settler. There were Thinking of You cards signed for the families of the 15 classmates who have passed away to date. There was a poster of young John F. Kennedy saluting his father's funeral procession surrounded by quotations from the class relating to our Worst Memory of High School. After the cocktail hour and class photograph taken by Jerry Horbert, a buffet dinner was served. Leo Boyle, Class President, accepted the title Class President for Life. His words of greeting were brief, humorous and to the point. He reported that 90% of our class has been located -- dead or alive. Susan Chapman Horn, Class Historian, then addressed the class. She reported that clad in red caps and gowns WHS graduated 276 young people this year. In 1964 366 graduated in blue caps and gowns. The 1964 prom was held in the gym. Does anyone remember the 3 young ladies who showed up in identical black and white gowns? In 1989 the prom was held at the Westin Hotel in Copley Square, Boston. No one wore identical gowns. Sue reported that the Weisenbach-Ciesluk Scholarship founded in memory of Karl Ciesluk and Buster Weisenbach, was awarded this year to high school senior Lewis Kopfsky. Class Awards were then presented. The Farthest Distance Traveled went to Sharon Chandler from Bellingham, Washington. (A difficult call since 6 classmates traveled from California: Dan Blackstone, Jane Bonifassi Hollander, Buddy Mear, Lee Brown, Vicki Kryter Liebhaber and Dick Nasson.) First Grandparent: Undisputed title to Barbara Eddy Emerson of Rockland, Maine who is grandmother of 3 (so far). Most Recent Parent (in attendance): Dan Blackstone of Novato, CA whose second daughter, Katie Rose is 8 months old. Faculty Appreciation Award to Bedros Kamitian who took the time and showed the interest to be with us. Yearbook Picture Look Alike: Jane Bonifassi Hollander of Santa Barbara, CA and Marty Zeller of Woodstock, VT. Above and Beyond Punctuality Award to Peter Spears for overnight expressing his reunion reservation so that it arrived exactly on April 1. Class Service Award: To a group of girls who, during high school, embellished the white fence posts surrounding the football field with red painted names of every football player and further decorated the goal posts by driving underneath with a car and standing on it to reach. Two of the heroines were in attendance: Maureen McDonald Duffey of Westwood and Jean Salatich Kehrer of Glenview, IL. In absentia kudos went to Maggie Kenney, Patty Papps Flug and Ginny Smith Kinzler. The Dana Frost Award went to members of the class still in active military service. Cpl. The Wellesley High School Class of 1964 celebrated its 20th Reunion June 23, 1984 at the Marriott Hotel in Newton (on the site of Norumbega Park). It had taken 10 years to recover from the 10th Reunion. At the 20th Reunion, 183 people were in attendance, 113 being members of the class. During the cocktail hour classmates and guests socialized, browsed through the memorabilia displayed, which included a collection of Townsman clippings relating to the class dating back to 1964, and examined the 75-page 1984 Yearbook Supplement edited by Donald Chaffee. Prior to the buffet dinner, Class President, Leo Boyle, welcomed the group and thanked the reunion committee which included Debbie (Dean) Ambarick, David Florentine, Dede (Landon) Bazirgan, Ginny (Murray) Boyle, Archie Campbell, treasurer, Donald Chaffee, Yearbook Supplement editor, Lisa Durrell, Lynda (Fumia) St.James, PR chairman, Sue (Chapman) Horn, Sherry (Copplestone) Maffei, Bob O'Malley, name tag calligrapher, Elaine (Brown) Sheridan, entertainment coordinator, Vin Trubiani, and Donna (Splittgerber) Weber, housing coordinator. President Boyle then introduced Sue (Chapman) Horn who has been designated Class Historian for Life, to elaborate on class statistics. The class originally consisted of 366 members. Five are deceased. Of the remaining 361, 86% were located. They represent 32 states and six foreign countries including Australia, Germany, Greece, Korea, Nigeria and Panama. 17 are still living in Wellesley. After Massachusetts the most popular state to live in is Vermont. Oddly, 5 classmates now live in Newburyport, Mass. and 4 in Brattleboro, VT. The most popular career paths followed are in the fields of education and health care. Ten classmates and five spouses are in airline careers. Musicians include Elliot Lee Childs who plays Dixieland with his group The Bourbon Street Paraders; Walter Powers, lead guitar with Willy Alexander and the Confessions; and Bruce Dick who is a writer and producer of piano and synthesizer music as backgrounds for movies. Architects include Judy Bing and Buddy Mear, both of California. Mear is working on Warren Beatty's home and has written a book on prison design that is used by the US Government for new construction. Authors include Nancy Onthank-Johnson who writes children's books; Rick Stratton who has collaborated with Norman Mailer; and Steve Sargent who just released a text called On the Threshold of Exact Science. Sue Burr Carlo is a painter in NYC; Richard Bachman is an artist in San Francisco and Carol (Bennison) Hartmann is a sculptor studying with Peter Abate. Actors include Lynda (Fumia) St. James and Richard Bachman. PJ Feeney's wanderlust has taken him all over the world and he was last heard from in Tanzania. Hanley Clifford appeared on a segment of 60 Minutes on mercenary soldiers. John Mercer was seen coast-to-coast on a TV quiz show. In a class whose average age is 38, 75 offspring are under 5 years old -- with 15 under a year and four more expected. There are 3 adoptions, 3 sets of twins and the most popular names chosen for this next generation are variations on Elizabeth and Jennifer, David and Matthew. Before beginning the evening of dancing to the sounds of the 60's provided by DJ Bobby Valukis several awards were given. The person who came the farthest to Bessie Dimitrakopoulou from Athens, Greece. Runner up was Alex Achmat who still lives in Wellesley and works for the Marriot in which the reunion was being held. Most Number of Children: Barry Wolfson. He has 5. Runner up was Bob Flynn who is single but boasts 13 godchildren. 1964 Yearbook Look-Alike: Bob Noonan of Valrico, Florida and Nancy (Heinbaugh) Pettinelli of Billerica, Mass. Most changed went to Janet (Lyeth) Aprin of Salt Lake City and Peter Salvi of Los Angeles. Sunshine Dairy Memorial Award, given to a person still hanging out at Wellesley High, to Sandra (Dale) Poitras who teaches there. Jon Perry Award, given in the name of the original editor of the Yearbook to Donald Chaffee for his 1984 Yearbook Supplement. Most Vivid Memory of the 10th Reunion: to John Railsback of Northboro, Mass. Most Creative Addition to the 10th Reunion to Clarke Keenan of Westwood and Bill Kerivan of Waltham for the pool party they hosted in their 6' inflatable wading pool. The dancing began and the party spilled over into other locations after the Marriott shut the doors to their ballroom. We understand the partying continued most of the weekend.

The Wellesley High School Class of 1964 10th Reunion was held at the Wellesley College Alumnae Hall in June, 1974. The site was nostalgic and full of memories of Christmas cotillions gone by. Donald Chaffee arranged for a small band to provide dance music, and classmates contributed light refreshments. What began as a BYOB event became an open bar for which the class passed the hat for several trips to the well-known Town Line Liquor Store for replenishment. Everyone had a great time and as testament to that fact, the Reunion Committee was billed extra for janitorial services above and beyond the call of duty and the class was politely asked not to come back. If anyone has photographs of this reunion, I would very much appreciate scans or copies.
